スイス生まれのタイポグラファー、タイプデザイナー、教育者。
チューリッヒでHans Rudolf Bosshard氏に、パリのAtelier National de Recherche Typographique (ANRT) でタイポグラフィを学ぶ。
1995年：自身のスタジオを設立。主にブックデザイン、タイプデザイン、ビジュアルアイデンティティ、ポスターの分野で活動。
2005年：スイス国立銀行からスイスの新紙幣のコンペに参加するよう招待される。
2008年：Toan Vu-Huu氏とともにデザイン事務所Baldiger•Vu-Huuを設立。
2022年：書体鋳造所bvhtype.comをオンライン上に開設。フランス文化省、Centre national des arts plastiques（Cnap）、京都のヴィラ九条山でのレジデンスを経て、助成金を受ける。
スイスデザイン賞、TDC東京、TDC NY、IPT富山の各賞を受賞。2002年よりAGI会員。パリのÉcole nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifsにてタイポグラフィとタイプデザインを教えている。

Swiss-born, typographer, type designer and educator. Studied typography in Zurich with Hans Rudolf Bosshard and type design at the Atelier National de Recherche Typographique (ANRT) in Paris. 1995 creation of his own studio. Book design, type design, visual identities and posters. 2005 the Swiss National Bank invited him to participate in the competition for the new Swiss banknotes. 2008 he established, together with Toan Vu-Huu, the design office Baldiger•Vu-Huu. 2022 the type foundry bvhtype.com goes online. Received grants from the French Ministry of Culture, the Centre national des arts plastiques (Cnap) and a residency at the Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto. Winner of the Swiss Design Award and awards of the TDC Tokyo, the TDC NY and the IPT Toyama. Since 2002 a Member of AGI. He teaches typography and type design at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
